Assemblyman Tom Ammiano (D-San Francisco), left, administered the oath of office Monday, January 7 to two members of the City College of San Francisco Board of Trustees, Rafael Mandelman, center, and Chris Jackson. Mandelman, a gay man, won a seat on the college board in November and plans to work to help the community college maintain its accreditation and get out of a fiscal crisis. Jackson will begin his second term on the board. Trustees Steve Ngo and Natalie Berg also begin new terms on the seven-member panel.
