ADVERTISMENT

Passengers on a Blue and Gold ferry cruise got an up-close view Monday of a practice session for the America's Cup World Series that begins today (Thursday, August 23) on San Francisco Bay. The regatta races this weekend are a warm-up for next year's America's Cup final. Organizers encourage people to watch the 45-foot racing boats from the Marina Green, where an America's Cup Village will be set up daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is near Marina Boulevard at Fillmore Street. Admission is free.
