Folsom Street Events Inc., the producers of the Folsom Street Fair, Up Your Alley Fair, and the Magnitude dance party, handed out $333,452 to its beneficiaries from this year's events during a reception at Sloane on Tuesday, November 17. This year saw 16 agencies benefiting from the street fairs, and representatives turned out to collect their checks and thank the leather/fetish communities for their support. Andy Copper, FSE board president, said "2009 was a fantastic year" despite the economic downturn and the amount raised pushed the organization's total giving over the $4 million mark during the past 26 years.
