The GLBT Historical Society held its annual gala benefit October 29 and recognized individuals and groups for their work helping to preserve queer history. Gala co-chairs Marjorie Bryer, left, and Chris Lewis, right, flank fundraiser Mark Rhoades, who received the society's Generations Award for his work connecting LGBT history with people of all ages. Specifically, Rhoades started the "Cupid's Back" Valentine's party, which has raised the society's profile among younger people and raised tens of thousands of dollars for the organization over the years. Other honorees included the Women's Building, Daniel Bao, and Beach Blanket Babylon.
