Porn Party Creeps Cons

Mayor Gavin Newsom may have expressed his dislike of the straight porn company Kink.com moving into the Mission armory, but he did issue a proclamation to Colt Studio last week at its 40th anniversary party, held in the Green Room, across the street from City Hall. The party was time with the Gay VN Awards, held Feb. 24 the Castro Theatre.

Openly gay assemblyman Mark Leno, and City Treasurer Jose Cisneros, also honored the video company with proclamations.
Expectedly, rightwing homophobes and pundits launched into their tirades, according to the Sacramento Bee.

Fox News’ rabidly pro-rightwing propagandist Bill O’Reilly attacked a Newsom supporter on his TV show this week. “You wonder why your city is looked upon as a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah,” said O’Reilly, who settled a multi-million dollar sexual harassment suit brought against him in 2005.
The perpetually scolding Lou Sheldon, of the Traditional Values Coalition, spewed, “No other major city in the nation has gone so far as to blatantly glorify a homosexual porn producer and company.”

We’ll take that as a compliment.
