Man convicted in pedestrian’s death

A San Francisco jury convicted Gregg Wilcox, 60, of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter today (Thursday, July 19) in the death of gay pedestrian Bill Cox, 59 (seen at left).

Cox died September 6, 2011, hours after Wilcox struck him with his Ford Explorer in a crosswalk at 14th and Noe streets. Wilcox had been driving with his left foot because he was wearing a medical boot on his right foot. He faces up to a year in county jail. His sentencing is set for September 21 in San Francisco Superior Court.
